Deutsche Wohnen: Holders of 0.5% green convertibles have put right

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 14 – Deutsche Wohnen AG said holders of its €500 million of 0.5% convertible green notes due 2031 (ISIN: DE000A3H25P4) have a right to require the issuer to redeem some or all of the notes at 101 plus accrued interest following a change of control.

The change of control resulted from Vonovia SE acquiring more than 50% of the ordinary share capital of Deutsche Wohnen through a public tender.

The convertibles holders’ put right runs through Dec. 13.

Deutsche Wohnen will redeem the convertibles for which the put right has been exercised on Dec. 20.

Deutsche Bank, AG is the fiscal agent.

The issuer is a residential property company based in Frankfurt.
