Fitch affirms Deutsche Telekom

Fitch Ratings affirmed Deutsche Telekom's senior unsecured and short-term ratings at A- and F1, respectively, following the announcement that the company's supervisory board had agreed to the acquisition of the Austrian mobile and fixed-line operator Telering for €1.3 billion.

The outlook remains stable.

The transaction, which is consistent with Deutsche's integrated telephone operator strategy, is not expected to materially alter the group's financial profile, the agency said.
