Delta Petroleum files automatic shelf registration

Des Moines, April 18 - Delta Petroleum Corp. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday.

The registration covers senior debt securities, subordinated debt securities, common stock, preferred stock and warrants. Debt securities and preferred stock may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for exploration and development, acquisitions, debt repayment, working capital and general corporate purposes.

Delta is a Denver-based natural gas and crude oil company.
