Fitch assigns AA+ rating to Danbury bonds, F1+ to BANs

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an AA+ rating to Danbury, Conn.'s $20 million 2008 general obligation bonds and a short-term F1+ rating to the city's $74.345 million bond anticipation notes. The outlook is stable.

The bonds and BANs are scheduled for competitive sale on July 23.

The bonds are dated Aug. 1, 2008 and mature serially on Aug. 1, 2009-2028. The BANs mature on Aug. 1, 2009.

Fitch also affirmed its AA+ rating on the city's $137 million in outstanding G.O. bonds and F1+ rating on its $66 million in outstanding BANs.
