Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 9 - Danaos Corp. said it plans a $200 million private placement of stock.
The company will sell 54,054,000 common shares at $3.70 per share, which the company said represents a 5.9% discount to the 30-day volume weighted average share price of $3.93 per share and a 6.6% discount to the 60-day volume weighted average share price of $3.96 per share.
Piraeus, Greece-based Danaos is an international owner of containerships that charters its vessels to liner companies.
