S&P revises Danaher view to positive

S&P said it changed Danaher Corp.’s outlook to positive from stable and affirmed its ratings, including its BBB+ senior unsecured rating.

“The company's strong financial performance during 2020 contributed to its lower-than-expected debt leverage and greater financial flexibility. Danaher generated about $22 billion of revenue during 2020, which represents a 24.4% year-over-year increase (6.7% if we exclude acquisitions and currency translation effects), and improved its adjusted EBITDA margin by about 400 basis points (bps),” the agency said in a press release.

The positive outlook reflects the increased likelihood S&P could upgrade Danaher in the next 24 months, the agency said.
