Charys granted one-month exclusivity extension

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., June 17 - Charys Holding Co. Inc. was granted a one-month extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a source familiar with the case.

The exclusive plan-filing period was extended to July 15 from June 13 and the solicitation period to Sept. 13 from Aug. 12.

Charys had requested a four-month exclusivity extension. In the motion requesting the extension, the company said it needed more time to finalize agreements it has reached with a majority of its creditor constituencies on the terms of a plan of reorganization.

Charys is an Atlanta-based infrastructure services company that filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 14 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10289.
