Charter Communications posts $60 million June net loss; revenues down

Pittsburgh, July 30 - Charter Communications, Inc. reported a $60 million net loss for June on $563 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures show a decline from the $42 million net loss posted in May on $565 million in revenues.

Charter had $992 million in cash and cash equivalents at June 30, up from $952 million at the end of May.

Charter Communications is a St. Louis-based provider of video services, high-speed internet services and telephone services to residential and commercial customers on a subscription basis. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 27. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11435.
