Prospect News reports three new defaults for week of Aug. 13-Aug. 19

Pittsburgh, Aug. 21 – Prospect News reported three new defaults for the week of Aug. 13 through Aug. 19.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made by RGN-Group Holdings, LLC and Arandell Holdings, Inc., and a Chapter 15 bankruptcy case filed by Hema UK I Ltd.

In addition, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made this week by Valaris plc and Chaparral Energy, Inc. However, both of those companies had previously defaulted in connection with missed interest payments.

So far in 2020, Prospect News has reported 231 defaults, including 159 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, 29 missed interest payments, 10 Chapter 15 bankruptcy filings, six missed principal payments, five CCAA filings, four each of missed interest and principal payments and missed payments, three Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings, two each of administrations and defaults and one each of CBCA filings, CAA filings, restructurings, reorganizations, scheme of arrangement proceedings, appointments of receivers and Danish Section 11b filings.

The four companies that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy this week listed a total of $14.65 billion of assets and $9.421 billion in debt.
