S&P raises Central Telecommunications

Standard & Poor's said it raised its long-term corporate credit and Russia national-scale ratings on Central Telecommunications Co. (OJSC) to B+/ruA+ from B/ruBBB+.

At the same time, all ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they had been placed with positive implications on June 6, the agency said.

The outlook is positive.

According to S&P, the upgrade reflects the company's improved creditworthiness on the back of the continued strengthening of its financial position, expanding liquidity, and a persistent positive performance trend.
