Fitch acts on Guatemalan companies

Fitch Ratings said it placed ratings of Guatemalan companies Comcel Trust and Central America Bottling Corp. on rating watch negative.

The actions follow Fitch's placement of the country's BB- foreign-currency issuer default rating on rating watch negative and affirmation of its local-currency IDR at BB-/stable on Tuesday.

Fitch placed Comcel Trust’s foreign-currency IDR on RWN. “This mirrors the placement on RWN of Guatemala's sovereign ratings and, subsequently, its country ceiling,” Fitch said in a press release.

The agency also placed Central America Bottling’s BB+ foreign-currency IDR and the BB+ rating on its $700 million of senior unsecured notes due 2027 on RWN, which also mirrors the placement for Guatemala, the agency said. Fitch affirmed the company's long-term local-currency IDR at BB+/negative.
