CenterPoint Energy Houston offers five-year general mortgage bonds

Charlotte, N.C., May 13 – CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric LLC is eyeing a sale of general mortgage bonds, series Y, due June 1, 2021, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and Wells Fargo Securities LLC are the joint bookrunners.

PNC Capital Markets LLC is the senior co-manager.

Co-managers are Academy Securities, Inc.; MFR Securities, Inc.; Samuel A. Ramirez & Co. Inc. and Williams Capital Group LP.

Proceeds will be used for general limited liability company purposes, including the repayment of short-term notes payable to affiliated companies.

The electric utility is based in Houston.
