CDX Gas asks court to push back disclosure hearing by two weeks

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., July 10 - CDX Gas LLC asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas to continue the hearing on the disclosure statement for its plan of reorganization to July 28, according to a Friday court filing.

The hearing is scheduled for July 14.

The company said it has been discussing plan modifications with major creditor constituencies that will require it to file an amended plan of reorganization.

CDX said the additional time would allow the discussions to conclude and parties in interest to have time to review the amended plan.

The company also said it is in the process of responding to objections raised to its disclosure statement.

CDX is a Dallas-based independent energy company focused on the development and production of natural gas from onshore North American unconventional natural gas resources. The company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 12, 2008, and its Chapter 11 case number is 08-37922.
