Moody's gives China Merchants notes A3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A3 rating to the planned senior unsecured dollar-denominated green notes and sustainability notes to be issued by the China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., Luxembourg Branch. The notes will be issued under the bank's $5 billion medium-term note program.

“The assigned ratings and stable outlook are in line with CMB's long-term deposit rating and outlook, reflecting the structure of the issuance,” Moody’s said in a press release.
