By Reshmi Basu

New York, July 25 - Calpine Canadian units will sell $360 million in ULCI bonds via Lehman Brothers as part of a global settlement agreement between Calpine Corp., its Canadian debtors and the informal committee of Calpine Energy Finance ULC senior noteholders, according to a source familiar with the transaction.

On Tuesday, the court approved the agreement under which Calpine Canada Energy Finance will sell its holding of $359.77 million of 8½% senior notes due 2008, which were issued by Calpine Energy Finance ULC.

The timing of the sale has not been publicly disclosed, the source told Prospect News.
