California Coastal granted more time to develop a consensual plan

Charlotte, N.C., March 3 - California Coastal Communities, Inc. was granted its requested two-week extension of its periods for filing a plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan, according to Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Central District of California.

The court extended the exclusive filing period to March 10 and the solicitation period to May 9.

A further hearing is scheduled for March 10.

California Coastal Communities, a residential land development and homebuilding company based in Irvine, Calif., filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 27. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-21712.
