Covestro hosts investor calls for €500 million inaugural green bond

Chicago, Nov. 7 – Covestro AG (Baa2) is hosting investor calls on Monday for its inaugural green bond, according to a market source.

The size has been set at €500 million and will not grow. The tenor on the senior offering will be six years.

ING, Societe Generale, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank are the joint bookrunners for the Regulation S deal.

ING and Societe Generale are the green structuring advisers.

ISS ESG provided a second-party opinion on the green financing framework.

Proceeds will be used for eligible green projects.

Based in Leverkusen, Germany, Covestro manufactures polymers and high-performance plastics.
