Credit Suisse plans digital buffer notes due 2019 tied to S&P 500

Chicago, Oct. 25 – Credit Suisse AG, London Branch plans to price 0% digital buffered notes due in 18 to 21 months linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index finishes at or above the 87.5% threshold, the payout at maturity will be the maximum settlement amount of $1,079.60 to $1,093.60 for each $1,000 principal amount. The exact digital return will be set at pricing.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond the 12.5% buffer.
