Coyne International committee withdraws motion to hire Blank Rome

Bethlehem, Pa., Aug. 28 – Coyne International Enterprises Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors withdrew its request to hire Blank Rome LLP as lead council retroactive to Aug. 15, according to a notice filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York.

According to the notice, Blank Rome withdrew its appearance as proposed lead council.

As previously reported, Blank Rome attorneys were to provide legal advice, assist the committee in investigating acts, conduct, assets, liabilities and the financial condition of the company, prepare the necessary legal documents and appear in court on behalf of the company.

Attorneys at the firm were to be paid an hourly rate ranging between $430 and $820, according to the previous motion.

Coyne International Enterprises, a Syracuse, N.Y.-based commercial laundry company, filed for bankruptcy on July 31. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-31160.
