Core-Mark extends planned registration statement filing date

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, June 16 - Core-Mark Holding Co., Inc. extended its planned filing date for a form 10 registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission, according to a company news release.

While the company and its auditors were working toward a late second-quarter filing, Core-Mark said in the release that it now believes the filing will occur no later than Aug. 31 and will include financial results for both the first and second quarters of 2005.

Core-Mark emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy as a stand-alone company upon adoption of the Fleming Cos. Inc. plan of reorganization on Aug. 23, 2004.

Core-Mark said it was unable to file its audit in the expected time frame because of the complexities of the bankruptcy case.

Core-Mark is a San Francisco, Calif.-based broad-line, full-service wholesale distributor of packaged consumer products to the convenience retail industry.
