Consolidated-Tomoka names new independent director to board

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 1 - Consolidated-Tomoka Land Co. named Linda Loomis Shelley to its board of directors, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Bob Allen.

Shelley, who qualifies as an independent director, will stand for election at the company's 2009 annual meeting and serve in the class of directors with terms expiring in 2010, according to a Consolidated-Tomoka news release.

Consolidated-Tomoka chairman and chief executive officer William H. McMunn said Shelley has an "extensive knowledge of growth management, environmental issues, land planning, and the legislative and regulatory process."

Shelley is a shareholder in the law firm of Fowler White Boggs PA.

Consolidated-Tomoka Land is a real estate and land development company located in Daytona Beach, Fla.
