Fitch assigns ConEd debentures A-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A- rating to Consolidated Edison Co. of New York, Inc.’s issuance of $600 million of senior unsecured debentures, series 2020 C due 2060. Consolidated Edison’s long-term issuer default rating is BBB+, with a negative outlook.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of short-term debt.
