S&P ups Mobile TeleSystems to positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on Mobile TeleSystems OJSC to positive from stable, and affirmed its BB long-term corporate credit rating.

The outlook revision reflects an expectation that the company's financial metrics will remain solid over the medium term, despite the company's acquisition of Comstar United TeleSystems JSC, S&P said, and a continuously high level of investments.

The company's robust operating performance and proactive debt portfolio management also support the outlook revision, the agency said.
