Fitch: Colombia attracts investors

Fitch Ratings said it released a special report titled "Colombia: Attracting Investor Attention," which highlight key macroeconomic factors and capital market reforms as well as sectors that have been some of the chief beneficiaries of these developments.

"Colombia's improved security combined with a stable macroeconomic framework has improved the country's long-term growth prospects, bolstering consumer confidence and transforming Colombia into an attractive destination for foreign investment," Fitch senior director Glaucia Calp said in a written statement.

"Fitch believes that the primary beneficiaries may be those companies in the financial, retail and telecommunications industries, as well as structured instruments related to the residential real estate sector such as residential mortgage-backed securities, or RMBS," Calp said.
