Fitch provides A+ to Coca-Cola notes

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ rating to Coca-Cola Co.’s benchmark issuance of euro senior notes due 2036.

The outlook is negative.

The company had about $48 billion of debt as of July 1.

The notes will be issued by Coca-Cola and will rank equally with the company's senior unsecured obligations.

Net proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital, capital expenditures, acquisitions of or investments in businesses or assets, redemption and repayment of short-term or long-term borrowings and common stock purchases.
