Fitch rates Coca-Cola notes A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ rating to the Coca-Cola Co.'s proposed issuance of about $4.5 billion of senior notes with maturities of 18 months, three years, five years and 10 years.

The outlook is stable.

The proceeds will be used for a tender offer and for general corporate purposes.

The ratings reflect the company's substantial cash flow generation, which is due to its high operating margins, Fitch said.

The ratings also are supported its leading position in the global market for nonalcoholic, ready-to-drink beverages and its strengthening noncarbonated portfolio, the agency said.
