Former American Laser Centers requests second exclusivity extension

Pittsburgh, July 20 - CLA Hold LLC, formerly American Laser Centers, is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend its exclusive filing period to Dec. 4 from Aug. 6 and the solicitation period to Jan. 31, 2013 from Oct. 3.

According to the motion, CLA has been focused on selling its assets, fulfilling its responsibilities to the buyer and attending to other responsibilities to its creditors and parties in interest.

As a result, the company said it has not had enough time to develop a plan.

A hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7.

Farmington Hills, Mich.-based American Laser Centers provides laser hair removal and medical aesthetic services. The company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 8, 2011. The Chapter 11 case number is 11-13853.
