Citizens adds Westover, Chronert to fixed income trading business

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 2 – Citizens Financial Group, Inc. said bankers Brad Westover and Steve Chronert have joined the company to help build out the bank’s fixed income trading business, according to a press release.

Westover has joined Citizens as managing director and head of fixed income trading. Westover has 25 years of experience trading debt securities and was most recently co-head of high-yield sales and trading at Wells Fargo. He will be based in Charlotte, N.C.

Chronert has joined Citizens as managing director and head of fixed income sales. Chronert has 30 years of fixed income sales and leveraged finance experience. He was the head of high-yield sales at UBS and RBS and also worked at Credit Suisse and Bank of America/NationsBank. He will work out of both Charlotte, N.C., and Stamford, Conn.

“Brad and Steve are veteran bankers who bring decades of experience to Citizens and will help us expand our capabilities so we can better serve our clients as their trusted advisor,” Ted Swimmer, head of corporate finance and capital markets at Citizens, said in the release.

The bank is based in Providence, R.I.
