By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 25 - Circuit City Stores, Inc. said it will consider "in due course" the nominations of five directors by Wattles Capital Management, LLC to its 12-member board.

The company's annual meeting is scheduled for June 24, according to a Circuit City news release.

In January, Wattles, a 6.5% shareholder, met with Circuit City management and shareholders.

As previously reported, Wattles intends to continue monitoring Circuit City's business affairs, financial position, future prospects and management, along with market and economic conditions.

Circuit City is a Richmond, Va.-based electronics retailer.
