Circuit City granted court OK of sales of Atlanta, San Jose properties

Pittsburgh, Sept. 1 - Circuit City Stores, Inc. received court approval of the $2.1 million sale of its former call center in Atlanta to Axion Holdings, LLC and the $11.15 million sale of its San Jose, Calif., property to Smythe European, Inc., according to Tuesday filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

The Atlanta property includes a 65,000-square-foot industrial building built in 2001.

The Richmond, Va., electronics retailer filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 10, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-35653.
