China Shanshui Cement Group board doubting validity of share offer

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 16 – China Shanshui Cement Group Ltd.’s board of directors said it “has a serious doubt” about whether a possible share offer is a bona fide offer, according to a news release.

The company said it still has not received any concrete proposals related to the possible offer and has not received a copy of the joint offer letter or details of earlier discussions related to the offer.

Given a loss of books, records and other important documents, the company said last month that it asked the offerors for a copy of the joint offer letter dated July 20, 2015 and details of earlier discussions related to the offer.

The cement manufacturing company is based in Jinan, China.
