Buyk secures extension of exclusive plan periods to complete sales

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 2 – Buyk Corp. secured an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the plan filing period through Nov. 14 from July 15 and the solicitation period through Jan. 13, 2023 from Sept. 13.

The company said in its motion that while it has made progress in its case, there are several remaining tasks that need to be accomplished, like marketing and selling its intellectual property, valued at about $10 million, and completing the sale of its equipment, which is worth several million dollars.

Buyk is a New York-based grocery delivery service. The company filed bankruptcy on March 17 under Chapter 11 case number 22-10328.
