Buyk gets court approval to hold auctions for inventory, equipment

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 24 – Buyk Corp. received approval to conduct auctions for its equipment and inventory, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The company may proceed with the auctions of the contents of all 39 of its leased stores and all three of is warehouses.

As previously reported, Buyk said its goal is to complete the sale process within 60 days and to then seek confirmation of a plan of liquidation to distribute the remaining sale proceeds after satisfaction of its debtor-in-possession loan.

Buyk is a New York-based grocery delivery service. The company filed bankruptcy on March 17 under Chapter 11 case number 22-10328.
