Butler International seeks to convert bankruptcy cases to Chapter 7

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 24 - Butler Services International, Inc. and its affiliated debtors asked the court to convert their Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases to Chapter 7, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The debtors believe they have paid or will have otherwise satisfied administrative claims prior to the conversion date.

In addition, the debtors, the committee and the second-lien parties agreed to a comprehensive settlement, the filing said.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 14.

Butler, a Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based provider of outsourcing services, filed for bankruptcy on June 3. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11914.
