Brazil registers to sell up to $9.22 billion debt securities, warrants

Seattle, April 13 - The Federative Republic of Brazil registered to sell up to $9,220,065,147 of debt securities and warrants in a schedule B filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.

The debt securities may be sold with or without warrants, and the securities will be denominated in dollars or in other currencies.

Proceeds will be used for general purposes, including refinancing domestic and external debt.

The country has already paid a $283,056 registration fee for $2,404,895,148 of debt securities and warrants that were previously registered.
