Malaysia’s Boustead issues final tranche under junior sukuk program

Madison, Wis., Aug. 14 – Malaysia’s Boustead Holdings Bhd. issued a total of RM 66 million of junior Islamic medium-term notes on Tuesday, according to a Bursa Malaysia announcement.

This is Boustead’s sixth issue of junior sukuk. The company announced an up to RM 1.2 billion junior sukuk program in November 2013 and completed five tranches in December 2013, June 2014, August 2014 and November.

Including the latest tranche, Boustead has issued the junior sukuk in full under the RM 1.2 billion program.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the company has operations in the plantation, heavy industries, property, finance and investment, pharmaceutical and manufacturing and trading sectors.
