JPMorgan Chase Bank buys $7.13 million in claims against Borders Group

Pittsburgh, July 19 - JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA bought $7.13 million in claims against Borders Group Inc., according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, JPMorgan bought a $4.32 million claim from Sony Music Entertainment and a $2.81 million claim from Workman Publishing Co. Inc.

Borders, an Ann Arbor, Mich.-based specialty retailer of books and other educational and entertainment items, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 16. The Chapter 11 case number is 11-10614.
