Bon-Ton Stores exclusive plan periods extended to complete winddown
By Caroline Salls
Pittsburgh, Oct. 23 – Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. secured an extension of its exclusive periods for the filing and solicitation of votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Specifically, Bon-Ton’s exclusive plan-filing period was extended through Jan. 30 from Oct. 2 and the solicitation period through April 2 from Dec. 3.
The company said the extension will give it more time to complete agency agreement obligations and complete the winddown of its operations.
After that, Bon-Ton said it will evaluate its assets and administrative liabilities to determine if a Chapter 11 plan is feasible.
Bon-Ton, a York, Pa.-based department store operator, filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 4, 2018 under Chapter 11 case number 18-10248.
