BMC in talks on extension after waiver expires

New York, Sept. 15 - BMC Industries, Inc. said it is in talks with its lenders on an additional waiver extension and interest deferral under its credit agreement.

The Minneapolis manufacturer of color television picture tubes and polycarbonate and glass eyewear lenses has been operating under a 60-day waiver granted on July 15 and a temporary deferral agreement of interest payments, both of which expire on Sept. 15.
