Bashas' wants more time to solicit acceptances for reorganization plan

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 3 - Bashas' Inc. wants the court to extend the exclusive period to solicit acceptances for its plan of reorganization to April 1 from March 26, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 17.

In the filing, Bashas' said "the debtors seek an extension of the exclusive period to solicit acceptances until the conclusion of the confirmation hearing currently set for the first week of April 2010."

Bashas', a Chandler, Ariz.-based retail grocery business, filed for bankruptcy on July 12, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-16050.
