New Issue: Barclays Bank prices $1 billion 2.5% five-year Rule 144A covered bonds

New York, Sept. 14 - Barclays Bank plc sold $1 billion of 2.5% five-year covered bonds late on Tuesday to yield 109.5 basis points over Treasuries, or mid-swaps plus 90 bps, an informed source said.
The notes (Aaa/AAA/) priced at 99.883 to yield 2.525%. They were sold under Rule 144A and are non-callable.
Barclays Capital Inc., BNP Paribas Securities, Citigroup Global Markets and UBS Investment Bank were the bookrunners.
The financial services company is based in London.
