Moody's affirms Bank of New York Mellon

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the ratings of Bank of New York Mellon Corp. and its subsidiary banks.

Holding company senior debt is rated Aa2 and bank subsidiaries carry financial strength ratings of B+ and deposits ratings of Aaa, the agency said.

The affirmation follows the reorganization into two primary legal entities and related renaming of these banking subsidiaries, Moody's noted.

The outlook is stable.
