Fitch stabilizes Bank of Ireland Group view

Fitch Ratings said it revised Bank of Ireland Group plc's outlook to stable from negative and affirmed the bank's BBB long-term issuer default rating.

The agency has also affirmed the ratings of its operating subsidiaries, Bank of Ireland and Bank of Ireland (UK) plc and revised the outlooks on their long-term IDRs to stable from negative

“The outlook change reflects our view that the pandemic-related risks have largely receded and that the Irish economy will continue to perform strongly after a robust rebound in the year to date, which should continue to support the bank's performance,” Fitch said in a press release.
