S&P: Bank of East Asia bonds A

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its A issue rating to the proposed issue of Chinese renminbi-denominated senior unsecured bonds by the Bank of East Asia (China) Ltd.

At the same time, the agency said it assigned its cnAA+ Greater China credit scale rating to the proposed issue.

According to S&P, the bonds will constitute direct, unconditional, unsecured, and unsubordinated obligations of the bank. They will rank pari passu with all other unsecured and unsubordinated obligations of the bank.
