New Issue: China’s Bank of Communications sells $1.3 billion, RMB 2 billion, HK$2.8 billion notes

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 22 – Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch sold $1.3 billion of floating-rate notes due 2023, RMB 2 billion of 3.15% notes due 2022 and HK$2.8 billion of 2¼% notes due 2022, according to notices of listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.

The notes were issued under the company’s $12 billion medium-term note program.

Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Bank SinoPac HK, Bocom International, China Everbright Bank, Hong Kong Branch, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, ICBC, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Standard Chartered Bank are the joint global coordinators, joint lead managers and joint bookrunners for the dollar notes.

Bank of Communications, Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. Hong Kong Branch, Bank of China (Hong Kong), Cathay United Bank, China Citic Bank, Credit Agricole CIB, DBS Bank Ltd. and Industrial Bank Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch are the joint global coordinators, joint lead managers and joint bookrunners for the yuan notes.

Bank of Communications, Agricultural Bank of China Ltd., Hong Kong Branch, Bank of China, China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd., Hong Kong Branch, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, HSBC, JPMorgan and Standard Chartered Bank are the joint global coordinators, joint lead managers and joint bookrunners for the Hong Kong dollar notes.

The notes are expected to be listed on Thursday.

Bank of Communications is based in Shanghai.
