S&P rates Banco Santander-Chile notes A

S&P said it assigned its A issue-level rating to Banco Santander-Chile SA’s (A/stable/A-1) $185 million senior unsecured notes due 2021 with a floating rate.

“The rating on the notes reflects their pari passu ranking with the bank's other senior unsecured debt obligations, and as a result, it's the same as the long-term issuer credit rating on the bank,” said S&P credit analyst Cynthia Cohen Freue in a news release.
