Moody's affirms Banco Internacional del Peru

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed Banco Internacional del Peru SA - Interbank's D+ bank financial strength rating and its Baa3 long-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings.

The Prime-3 short-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings were also affirmed, along with Interbank's Ba3 foreign currency junior subordinated debt rating.

Additionally, Moody's affirmed the Baa3 and Ba3 foreign currency senior and junior subordinated debt ratings of Interbank's Panamanian Branch.

The outlook is stable.

In affirming Interbank's ratings, Moody's said it cited the bank's established franchise as a consumer lender in Peru, with a growing focus on credit card and mortgage lending, where it commands relevant market shares.
