Chile’s AES Gener plans to sell $450 million notes due 2079

New York, March 12 – AES Gener SA plans to sell $450 million junior subordinated notes due 2079 (expected ratings: BB/BB), according to a market source.

The notes will be used to refinance its existing $450 million 8 3/8% hybrid notes due 2073.

Goldman Sachs & Co., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and BofA Merrill Lynch are the bookrunners for the deal.

The company is electrical distributor based in Santiago, Chile.
