AES Eastern Energy five-member unsecured creditors committee chosen

Pittsburgh, Jan. 12 - AES Eastern Energy, LP's official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by Region 3 U.S. Trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members include Stanley Burg of Deutsche Bank Trust Co. America of Jersey City, N.J.; Douglas A. Kravitz representing First Chicago Leasing Corp.; John A. Blaschak of Fisher Mining Co.; Steve Kerr of agent the Bank of Nova Scotia; and Anne Shean of Credit Agricole of New York.

AES Eastern Energy operates more than 1,000 megawatts of capacity at four New York facilities, which were acquired from New York State Electric & Gas in May 1999. The company filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 30. The Chapter 11 case number is 11-14138.
