Aegon files automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., May 9 - Aegon NV and Aegon Funding Co. LLC jointly filed an automatic shelf registration in an F-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The registration for Aegon NV covers common shares, senior or subordinated debt securities, guarantees, warrants, purchase contracts and units.
The registration for Aegon Funding Co. LLC covers senior or subordinated debt securities, guarantees, warrants, purchase contracts and units, all of which are guaranteed by Aegon NV.
The debt securities may be convertible.
Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
The insurance and investment products provider is based in the Hague, the Netherlands.
